Youth at the Church of St. Peter begin formation for Confirmation in grade nine and receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in grade ten. Confirmation for our students is celebrated once per year at the Cathedral of St. Paul or the Basilica of Saint Mary. All Confirmation candidates must be Baptized, and have received the sacraments of First Reconciliation and Eucharist. Students preparing for Confirmation must:
Complete our two year formation process including Sunday Night Sessions
Meet attendance requirements
Select and build a relationship with a Confirmation Sponsor (Sponsor must be a Confirmed Catholic, 16 years of age or older who is not a parent)
Complete the Retreat component of the program
Complete the Service component of the program
Select a Confirmation Name which is a Saint they will pick
Confirmation classes meet on Sunday evenings from 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Students participate primarily in small group formation. For more info on the Confirmation Process please contact Fr.
