The Children's Choir has been growing rapidly at St. Peter's and I couldn't be happier about it! In choir, we learn how to use our voices to sing beautifully and we also learn about singing at Mass. Choir helps children to grow in their faith, as they learn to sing all the parts of the Mass and the hymns that our parish sings--in fact, they learn to LEAD the congregation in song! Our children sing beautifully in all the musical languages of the Church: everything from Gregorian chant to contemporary hymns. We learn why we sing at Mass, and we talk about the meaning behind what we sing, and what it teaches us about Jesus and our faith. Beyond that, we have a lot of fun!
Choir is finished for the Summer, but we will be having our annual Summer Children's Choir Camp August 20-24. We will meet every day at 1:00pm in the chapel and conclude with Midafternoon Prayer in the chapel, ending at 4:00pm.

Enrollment for the Children’s Choir is open to all children of the parish, from grades 1-6. If your child would like to join the choir, please email Nicole Millner before they attend their first rehearsal so we can be sure to have music prepared for each child.
Our rehearsal time is from 4:30-5:30pm on Wednesdays during the school year. Please be punctual (or even a bit early if possible) because the first part of choir is when we pray, warm up our voices, and work on our singing skills.
